I had a conversation with a coworker this morning and this quote came to mind.
I was encouraging her because she is doing a lot of work to improve, even spending more time with our boss having him listen to her calls, etc.
I said that she was brave because most salespeople I know don’t want to spend a minute more with their sales manager, but there she was, volunteering to do it in the name of improving.
She said that she wasn’t brave because she was always nervous when she’s in there with him and that it can be nerve-wracking, and the Lord brought Nelson Mandela’s quote on courage to mind. I shared a paraphrased version of it with her and I hope that she received it.
We all face fear. The question is, will you face it, conquer it, and triumph over it, or will you let it paralyze you, steal your potential, and steal your joy?
2 Timothy 1:7
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”
